April 2015

We're well on our way into spring now and our garden has been open for a few weeks after a relatively miserable winter weather-wise. John Hawkridge the owner, Nick the manager and Amanda the chef have been hard at work in the garden planting a huge variety of new plants and flowers to fill the flowerbeds and pots and John assured us it'll be rivalling Kew Gardens soon! Photos can be seen here

We'll be having an Annual Golf Day at Holtye Golf Club on Tuesday the 26th of May and we're looking for 10 teams of 4 players to join us. You can apply and find out more by popping in and speaking to a member of staff. Speaking of teams, we've had a few new staff members join us who have settled in brilliantly.

We had a wonderful monthly Sunday Night Music Night last Sunday with The Penny Payne Band and we're now looking forward to being joined by Nigel Bagge on the 24th of May (you can see more about our upcoming music nights on our events page)

Our next guest ale will be Hepworth Brewery's Dark Horse dark ale, followed by Isfield's Equinox amber ale and Harveys' George and Dragon ruby ale. We've also got in some lovely Rekorderlig ciders at present which are perfect to cool down with on a hot day.

We hope to see you soon and we'll be keeping our fingers crossed that we see more bright summery weather soon!

Best wishes,
From all the team at The Gallipot Inn.
